2020 Hotel & Travel Information

Accommodations

Emory Conference Center Hotel
1615 Clifton Road NE
Atlanta, Georgia

NFDA makes arrangements for all Mentees at the Emory Conference Center Hotel in Atlanta for March 8-10; those two nights of lodging are covered by a grant from the Funeral Service Foundation. Hotel check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out is 12 p.m.

If you are a Mentee who needs additional nights’ lodging, NFDA will make your reservations, based on availability, at your expense. The rate is $149 +tax per night, with no meal plan. You are also responsible for any meals and incidental charges beyond what is provided by NFDA for participation in the program.

Flight Discounts

NFDA partners with Delta to provide special airfare rates to NFDA Meet the Mentors attendees!

You will be eligible for one of two flight discounts:

  • 2% discount on the four lowest fares in the market

     Or

  • 5% discount on all other fares

You may also call Delta Meeting Network at 800.328.1111 Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (CT) and refer to Meeting Event Code NY327. There is not a service fee for reservations booked and ticketed via this reservation 800-number.

 

Valid discounted travel dates for the Meet the Mentors Conference are March 2 – 16.

  • Discounts apply to round trip travel only
  • Not valid with other discounts, certificates, coupons or promotional offers
  • Fare rules will determine eligibility

Transportation

From Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Atlanta Airport Superior Shuttle

Operates from the stalls Green 5 & 6 and runs every 30 minutes to Emory area hotels.

  • Cost: One-way $30; Round-Trip $50
  • Hours of Operation: 7 Days a Week; 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • For Reservations:  1.770.457.4794 (Reservations Hours: 7 Days a Week; 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.)


Public Transportation

MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) Bus and rail service, serves the Emory Conference Center Hotel. It is attached to the airport located right off baggage claim. 

From Hartsfield International Airport take MARTA to the Lindbergh Center Station. From Lindbergh take the #6 bus directly to the hotel.


Taxi

Taxi service is available from all airport terminal taxi stands. Cost is between $30 and $50. Duration: approximately 30 minutes, but varies based on taxi availability.


Ride Sharing Options

Ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft are also available as transportation options. Download the app for your preferred ride-sharing company and find the right ride for your needs, whether it is to and from the airport or around the area.
