NFDA will make your hotel reservation for the nights of March 8 and 9; hotel check-in is at 4 p.m. and check out is noon.
If you need additional nights' lodging, NFDA will make your reservations, based on availability, at your expense. The rate is $149 per night, plus tax, with no meal plan. You are also responsible for any meals and incidental charges beyond what is provided by NFDA for participation in the program.

Atlanta Airport Superior Shuttle
Shuttle service is available from Atlanta Airport Superior Shuttle. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes to Emory area hotels.
Cost: one-way $30; round-trip $50
Hours of operation: 7 days a week, 6 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Public Transportation
MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) bus and rail service serves the Emory Conference Center Hotel. It is attached to the airport located next to the baggage claim. From Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport take MARTA to the Lindbergh Center Station. From Lindbergh, take the 6 Bus directly to the hotel. Visit MARTA for more information.
Taxi
Taxi service is available from all airport terminal taxi stands.
Cost: between $30-$50.
Duration: approximately 30 minutes but varies based on taxi availability.
Will I receive continuing education credit?
Continuing education may be available in some states. Contact your NFDA member services representative at 1-800-228-6332 with questions about CE in your state.
What is the dress?
The Welcome Reception, group dinner on Sunday night and social gathering of bowling/billiards is casual. During the seminar on Monday and Tuesday, business attire is preferred.
Must I attend the entire program?
Yes. The program begins with a reception at 6 p.m. on Sunday and concludes at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
What if I cannot attend?
If you are unable to attend, you forfeit your place and NFDA will select a person to take your spot. However, if you confirm your participation and do not attend the program, you will be charged for your lodging and meals.
Can my spouse or guest attend the Welcome Reception?
The Meet the Mentors program is an intimate gathering designed specifically for the selected funeral directors who have been invited to participate and the mentors. If a spouse or guest is accompanying you to Atlanta, they may attend the Welcome Reception. Please notify NFDA in advance; you will be billed for the cost of dinner and bowling.
Will I be reimbursed for travel expenses?
No. As a part of your acceptance of participation in the Meet the Mentors program, you have agreed that travel expenses will be your responsibility.
Is there a charge for the program?
No. Once you are at Emory, the Meet the Mentors program is free, including the Welcome Reception, dinners, bowling/billiards, breakfasts and lunch during the event.
Will I be rooming with another participant at the Emory Conference Center Hotel?
No, you will have your own private room.
Is there parking available at the Emory Conference Center Hotel?
Yes. The overnight parking fee is $15 per night per vehicle for hotel guests. Otherwise, hourly rates apply.
