Important Message: Scheduling Congressional Meetings
NFDA has invested in an experienced, third-party scheduling service to ensure your time in Washington, D.C. is productive, structured and efficient. This useful service is available for appointments on NFDA’s official Hill Day (Thursday, April 4) as a courtesy to our Advocacy Summit attendees after they register for the event.
To take advantage of this important service, please complete and return the new Meeting Request Log to email@example.com by Friday, March 1. The information you provide is essential in setting meetings with the appropriate members of Congress.
If you choose to take advantage of this free service provided by NFDA, your meetings will not be posted until Wednesday, March 20 – updates will not be available prior to this date.
Due to the fast-paced nature of Congressional schedules, you may not see appointments in your schedule until immediately prior to the Summit.
Your schedule may change throughout your time in Washington, D.C. – only meetings scheduled through firstname.lastname@example.org will be updated in the NFDA Advocacy Summit app.
One person from each state should handle the scheduling process to avoid overlap. This is typically handled by your state association. Contact them first to confirm meeting plans and be added to state meeting lists.
The delegation can go together or split up to cover House offices. If you are planning to go as a group, make sure that the person who is actually a constituent of the Congress member is prepared to serve as the spokesperson for the delegation, and that you have specific information to discuss and leave behind. Everyone in your state’s delegation should attend meetings with your state’s Senators as a group.
